“While I watched my neighbor’s lawn, my own grew over with weeds.”
Who do you admire, envy, want to be like? Who do you look at and think “man, they have their sh*t together, and I definitely do not”?
For me, I look at people like Marie Forleo, or other very well-known entrepreneurs and I get so caught up in what they look like now, I forget they were once just starting out too. They were once where I am now.
When you start to feel that way, take some time to look at the person’s very beginning work. Look at Marie Forleo’s first videos; they are not nearly as polished as they are now. Look at their first website, their first product, their first anything. When you practice next to the ten year yogi and you just started yoga 2 months ago, remember they have put ten years of work in.
You can most certainly get where they are, you just have to do the work. You have to put in the time. You have to focus on your own stuff rather than only focusing on where other people are at. Use their success as your inspiration, your fuel to get to where you want to go.
